The UN specialized agency announced that the launch takes place at the House Museum of Africa in the historic district of Old Havana.

The Regional Office informed that African Diaspora is an “innovative educational resource that proposes competition and cooperation to learn, connect, and build new stories about Africa and its descendants in the Caribbean.”

Through illustrated cards, game boards, and creative activities, participants can situate episodes, characters, and Afro-descendant traditions from Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela, all of them inspired by the history of the African continent.

This initiative aims at reframing African history from the perspective of the region’s citizens and their descendants in the three Latin American countries.
