In October, a U.S. warship docked in Port of Spain, as Trump boosted military pressure on Venezuela.

The United States has advised that these movements are logistical in nature, facilitating supply replenishment and routine personnel rotations, said the Ministry in a statement.

The statement reaffirms the government’s “commitment to sustained cooperation with the United States of America in advancing regional safety, security, and stability.”

It noted that through this partnership, Trinidad and Tobago has benefited from joint military training exercises, enhanced surveillance capabilities, including the installation of an effective radar system, and collaborative efforts that have contributed to the interdiction of millions of dollars’ worth of illegal narcotics.

No one is surprised by this, it only further underscores the lies told by the Trinidad and Tobago government, under Kamla Persad-Bissessar.
