Gazan authorities will operate with the available resources, but that at least twenty excavators and twenty bulldozers are needed to recover thousands of buried bodies. Therefore, the Defense Directorate called on the international community to pressure Israel to allow heavy machinery into Gaza.
It also requested immediate intervention from the International Civil Defense Organization and ceasefire guarantors. The entity urged families of the dead to cooperate in identifying remains, some of which are decomposing due to Israeli explosives.
Teams began work at the home of the Abu Ramadan family, which sheltered approximately sixty displaced people, including children, women, and the elderly. Despite the ceasefire, more than 390 Palestinians have been killed since October 10.

Among the victims are Palestinians who attempt to return to their homes and are unaware of the borders of the Yellow Line, an imaginary demarcation established by Israel, which keeps more than 50 percent of Gaza under military control.
On Saturday, the Israeli occupation forces bombed an area in Gaza City despite the truce, allegedly to eliminate a key Hamas target. Gazan authorities reported that the attack was a drone strike at the Nablus intersection on Rashid Road, which caused three deaths and several injuries in the area.
Since the Israeli offensive escalated in October 2023, more than 70,600 Palestinians have been killed and 171,145 wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Israel has also destroyed Gaza’s water and electricity supplies and its sanitation systems.
