In some left-wing circles it is said, with a hint of annoyance, that the right is “morally defeated” and therefore is not an electoral threat today.
NO DISCOURSE IS MORE DANGEROUS. We must understand that the right wing is not just a flag, a political party, a fleeting movement, or a group of power nostalgics opposed to the Fourth Transformation. It is also the use of money, the millions and millions of pesos or dollars it is willing to spend to remove from power anyone it dislikes, no matter how well it benefits capital.
These are the groups that go unseen, that allow themselves to be convinced, or that precipitate situations; they are the ones who finance toxic spaces on social networks or certain media outlets where ideas such as social programs or aid to the most needy belong to a set of measures that the groups being helped do not deserve, because these are resources that should, in some way, be put into their own pockets.
TODAY MORE THAN EVER, especially when talking about left-wing “dictatorships”, those who make the judgment forget about Bukele, Milei and even Trump himself; they distort realities and judge Cuba or Venezuela, but forgive their oppressors.
In short, we cannot afford to be mistaken, fall into the trap, and give value to lies. Therefore, we must consider one of the groups that are not necessarily against measures that could achieve greater social justice, but that yearn for power as a means of control. We are referring to the Church as a political entity, not as a symbol of the faith of many.
In short, the map of the right wing that they claim doesn’t exist is vast. We should remember those who called themselves “Frena,” or groups like “Mexicans Against Corruption,” or the National Front for the Family, or some others who, without much publicity, act from political levels that have nothing to do with the parties, but act daily against those who voted for the 4T project, that is, the vast majority of citizens in the country.
Next year we will be able to identify, with a certain degree of certainty, the right-wing groups that claim not to exist but are active, that finance campaigns, that financially support pink or black demonstrations, as long as they cause some kind of damage to the current government.

What we do agree with internal critics on is that what doesn’t exist in the political sphere is a true left-wing party, because Morena is neither a party nor left-wing. It’s a movement whose goal is to win elections without charting a defined political course, where Javier Corral or Governor Alfonso Durazo can be just as likely to join as some long-time activists who haven’t been corrupted by power.
Therefore, next year will also be a time to tear off masks, to remove facades. As always, ambitions will reveal who is who, and there will surely be many more surprises than we imagine. But it will also be a time for reflection; it’s about time.
Just Passing By
Everything indicates that yes, the PAN party will put an active member of its ranks on the ballot as its candidate, and no one else, which would leave those who have allied themselves with them without aspirations. That’s why there’s alarm, for example, among PRI members who were hoping that Alessandra Rojo de la Vega, who has done everything to be seen as a female version of Bukele, the fiercest representative of the reactionary forces, wouldn’t be able to meet the PAN’s requirements, even though, we’re told, she’s already promised total impunity to the corrupt PAN members. We shall see.
