The Hamas-led Interior Ministry confirmed Sunday the Israeli-orchestrated killing of security officer Ahmad Zamzam in central Gaza Strip, an attack described as a premeditated assassination by Israeli intelligence, further escalating tensions amid ceasefire violations.
Although a suspect was initially detained as investigations began, the Ministry stated that the operation had been conducted by agents acting under the “direct supervision of Israeli intelligence services”, describing it as a deliberate and premeditated assassination.

Medical sources confirmed that Zamzam’s body was immediately transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
The incident, which took place in Al-Maghazi, reinforces Palestinian authorities’ accusations that Tel Aviv’s regime is pursuing a strategy of destabilization through the targeted killing of political and security figures, despite existing ceasefire agreements.
The killing came just one day after a Zionist drone strike hit a vehicle in Gaza City, killing Raed Saed, identified as a senior Hamas Commander and head of weapons production for the movement’s military wing, along with four others.

Peace Deal Violations
Despite the ceasefire agreement, Israeli military attacks reportedly continue almost daily. Gaza’s Ministry of Health says at least 386 Palestinians have been killed since October 10, a stark figure highlighting the persistence of the siege and ongoing violence.
The majority of those killed are civilians, including more than 60 children. Many were reportedly shot after approaching the so-called “yellow line”, an informal boundary marking the perimeter to which Israeli forces withdrew inside Gaza, while maintaining control over more than 50 percent of the territory.
According to Palestinian health authorities, the total death toll from what they describe as an escalating Israeli genocide has surpassed 70,600 Palestinians killed, with more than 171,095 wounded—marking a continuing humanitarian catastrophe unfolding amid widespread international inaction.
