
During his address at the International Peace and Trust Forum in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan urged the international community to provide strong support for the regularization process in the Gaza Strip.
Erdoğan described the events in Gaza as “one of the most brutal massacres of the last century.” Among the top priorities, the Turkish leader highlighted achieving a lasting ceasefire and delivering humanitarian aid to the victims, while also noting that the current truce remains fragile.

The Turkish president also advocated for the full participation of the Palestinians in all stages of the peace process. He also reaffirmed that the ultimate goal must be a two-state solution and urged the international community to fulfill its obligations to the Palestinian people to guarantee their self-determination, underscoring the need for the world to assume the responsibility of establishing international dialogue, cooperation, and trust in the face of increasing uncertainty and global conflicts.

Erdoğan stated that Turkey is working to ensure that peace and dialogue prevail, seeking to create a zone of peace and security around it through good relations with its neighbors. He also expressed his hope that United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 will be an opportunity for lasting peace and the reconstruction of Gaza.
This Friday, December 12, a forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, International Neutrality Day, and the 30th anniversary of the Asian country’s permanent neutrality is being held in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.
The forum’s host, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedow, who chairs the People’s Council of Turkmenistan, opened the meeting with a message of unity: “Forces for peace need to unite to face the dangers that weaken the global security structure.”
