A maritime shipment set sail with “essential aid such as mattresses, roofing sheets, and solar lamps for the affected families,” Cuban Ambassador to China, Alberto Blanco, wrote on his social media account.
China sent, less than a month ago, an air shipment of aid with food and supplies for the victims of Hurricane Melissa in Cuba.
Blanco expressed, at that time, his gratitude for the country’s solidarity during a meeting with directors of China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges.
Official sources recently informed that the Caribbean nation has received aid to date to repair the damage caused by Hurricane Melissa from nearly 30 countries across five continents.
