All trillion cells would still be working towards the meaning of life and some level of deeper understanding, probably
Because he can’t empathize. He famously thinks we live in a simulation and he’s the only “real” person and we are all NPCs.
Imagine explaining to a weapons vendor in a video game why it should buy and sell weapons. That’s what it’s there for.
We are here for him to use as he sees fit, in his mind.
Of course, he also famously sucks at video games.
So he sits there spinning his wheels trying to come up with a reason that isn’t 100% self-serving and can’t, because there aren’t any.
