San Salvador, Dec. 7 (Prensa Latina) Salvadoran organizations expressed their solidarity with Cuba and demanded an end to the U.S. blockade of the island. The sixth national meeting of the July 26 Friends Group, a camp in Cuban territory that served as a center for the care of war veterans and disabled veterans, and members of the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front, expressed their gratitude for the medical attention they received. According to activist Raul Martinez, it was a meeting of “friendship and brotherhood” in which nearly 200 people from various departments of the country gathered in Usulutan to express their solidarity with the people and government of Cuba.
