  • you must strive not to be as bad as they are in your reaction to that.

“that” being genocide; “as bad” being words.

IDF is a military institution, not a person. Chanting “Death to the IDF” is not a call for the death of individuals, but an end of the institution itself. “Capitalism has to die”, similarly does not call for the execution of Capitalists. Same with “Death to America”, which means death to the US Empire, and certainly not “Death to US-Americans”. People playing dumb and bad faithing this shit are characters like Piers Morgan. Are you such a character?

NATO Terror in Ankara “Haftalık” (Weekly) where we assess the significant developments of the previous week is out:

NATO’s terror began early The AKP government has begun its preparations for the NATO summit with house raids and arrests. Among the hundreds of citizens detained in these house raids, many of whom were then imprisoned or placed under house arrest, the targets included not only anti-NATO political circles but also academics, journalists, trade unionists, and volunteers of the TEMA Vakfı (Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, for Reforestation and the Protection of Natural Habitats). Eager to act as a subcontractor for imperialism, the government is trying to turn Turkey into a rose garden without thorns for imperialist centers, and to silence objections that will inevitably rise against the bargains aimed at trampling our independence.

With weeks still to go before the NATO summit, the government has declared de facto martial law in the capital city, Ankara. The bans and restrictions it has announced are no technical security arrangement, but an attempt to terrorize the political sphere and to confine Turkey’s probably most pressing political matters to a “superpolitic” ground. The suspension of parliamentary work for the duration of the NATO summit and the denial of NATO accreditation to journalists who are not the cronies of the government should be considered along with the de facto martial-law practices in Ankara that began with arrests. The AKP is trying to prevent NATO-related matters from being discussed in any channel not directly and wholly under the government’s control. NATO’s involvement in the AKP’s censorship through its accreditation preferences, demonstrates that, far from concerning itself with basic rights and freedoms in Turkey, imperialist institutions are complicit in operations aimed at stripping the political sphere entirely of the people.

Fighting against the imperialist war organization NATO is no crime, but a duty. Even in such circumstances, the patriots will raise the word “As they have come, so they will go”, and will drive the imperialists and their collaborators out of the homeland.
