I wonder if those need to be collected directly from the anus, or if using a fresh fecal sample would be adequate? I do a lot of volunteer work with less than friendly cats, and collecting a sample directly from their anuses may not be very practical.

Also, any insight regarding timeline and costs for this to be available to the general public? Sounds like that’s still a while away, if ever.
