ah, sry that’s a quote? 😅 the quote from the article

okay, whataboutism.
the article here doesn’t touch on us imperialism, thats not the topic. “warmongering” is an overstatement, but not unjustly so - in the topic of south china sea and taiwan.
Sweetie, that is not glossing over it - the comment is calling out the article here as lying when it claims russia is not responsible for attacking ukraine. it’s victim blaming.
The US is an imperialistic, genocide supportive and authoritarian state that will impose it’s will globally with it’s weapons. - that is a fact. so is the fact that Russia invaded and is currently fighting a war to occupy ukraine in their imperialistic intent.
when the article above claims that us is responsible for ukraine, to say that japan and us is responsible for any agression in taiwan - then the article is saying that Russia is a good invader in fact and that a chinese invasion of taiwan is also good in fact. – which is clearly wrong as any invasion is.

oh wow this article is biased.
“The [US and Japan] are deliberately undermining the “One China” policy as a means of goading China into military action against Taiwan, in a similar manner to how the US and NATO provoked Russia into war in Ukraine.”
so this is just old ass tankies that defend Russian imperialism in Ukraine? can’t we critique a japanese escalation without saying china’s position is “right”?
edit: added missing quotation marks
so my comment is pointing out the flaw in the article. you know - blaming US and Nato for the russian invasion of ukraine.
I don’t understand your comment I’m sorry to say 😅 red lines in international politics is very common? like when Russia threathen to use nuclear arms if ukraine got arms shipments - or when Israel breaks the “red line” of taking more palestinian lands.
Yes, the US is a imperialistic hegemon - but here the red line is from china - to invade if taiwan announces independence - and US/japanese policy is to defend taiwan if china blockades or invades?
