El Día de los Muertos, Nov. 1, was a day filled with exhilarating joy and deep sorrow, with bountiful hope and realistic despair, with love and hate. It was the day of the 26th Annual March and Rally to Abolish the Death Penalty, held in Texas every year since 2000 when George W. Bush was governor.
