Together with allied progressive organizations, Migrante Philippines protested at the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency in Quezon City on May 22 to condemn the continuing Red-tagging and terror-tagging of Migrante national chairperson Criselda Fiel.
Posters that Red-tags Fiel are being put up by a military unit in the province of Isabela.
The group said the posters are part of the US-Marcos regime’s psyops led by NTF-Elcac. Under the National Action Plan for Unity, Peace and Development (NAP-UPD), the state’s campaign of repression aims to scare migrant abuse victims from seeking help from the group, to divert the public’s attention, and to silence discourse on the roots of the social crisis.
The group explained that red-tagging of Fiel flagrantly violates human rights and even international humanitarian law.
Migrante Philippines demanded an end to the fascist attacks on Fiel and all activists and demanded accountability from NTF-Elcac for its terror-tagging.
